'Changing Weather'

As I mentioned in my last post my second recent
evening excursion was made just as a weather front
was arriving in our area and the drama of colour and
atmospheric interest was quite fantastic. However
I had to move along with my painting, even so it
was almost dark by the time I was back at the vehicle.
Oil on wood panel 6 x 8.
Thoughts & comments always welcomed.
Jeffrey
I have included some photo's below showing some
of the action that evening.

Wow!!

What fantastic painting and fabulous photos of weather in your area.

That painting, "September Dawn", is a knock out!

It looks like you are really having a grand time, too.

Ominous skies indeed! I like the touches of orange around the mountaintops. And what wonderful light in your photos!

Thanks Prabha... it was hard to keep focused on the painting and not just watching the sky and taking photos!

Hi Jeffrey!... A wonderfully insightful post... and grand tour of High Rock!

Your September Dawn is magnificent in composition... colour... light and mood... an all time favourite of mine!

Though it reminds me of Lawren Harris' Algoma piece with the dark silhouetted reflections... and has the same evocative power... we all could be said to share that feeling with the Seven. I think that you might agree!

Good Fall Painting!
Warmest regards,
Bruce
