wonderful group of local artists last week.
Using my plein air rig I attempted to give a close
idea as to how I would approach painting this scene en plein
air only in this situation using a photo.
=:-/
As I had recently done a painting of this size en plein air
only a few feet from where the reference photo was taken
it helped me to keep it as real as possible (sort of).
Oil on wood panel 11 x 14.
I invite your thoughts & comments!

Oh, my. I would be so overwhelmed with all that action. You have done a fantastic job with this painting. I perceive all of the energy there.
Amazing.
Hi Jeffrey. Wonderful painting! I wonder if you might follow my next few posts and add some comments for improvement. I'm just starting with acrylics. Thanks! -Joe
Hi again Jeffrey!... Strange how our two painting lives keep (virtually) overlapping... though never in reality! HAHA!!Demo situations... provinces apart!
Love the sweeping action in this piece... you have certainly replicated an energy and the power of this series of rapids.
You have done the same in the hayfield piece using the patterns in the field.
Your ability to reduce the design to its simplest terms is so effective! Both gems!
Good Painting!
Warmest regards,
Bruce
