Even on a chilly overcast westcoast winter day thewonderful colour of the naked willows light up the
morning. I painted this while out with a small band
of hardy outsiders on Friday. The cold wasn't to bad
if you were out of the wind.

Stayin' outta the cold is the secret to winter painting outdoors! A few hours in the open reminds you of that mistake for many moons to come!
