I had originally gone out in hopes of painting some
fields being hayed but it still hadn't started in my area
yet. However this little horse pasture had caught my eye
on previous trips and with the Hawthorn in
bloom and the drifts of Buttercups it seemed like a
wonderful opportunity.

Hi Jeffrey!
That Hawthorn focus amidst all of the greens... and the "drifts of buttercups" is a sterling subject!
"Mind" over matter... at work! We should all listen to that "Inner Voice"! It's nearly always right... isn't it Jeffrey!
A gem!
Good Painting!
Warmest regards,
Bruce
Another beauty, Jeffrey. I love how you create texture and movement in your landscapes. I've never seen a buttercup, but they must be stunning.
P. S. The only "buttercup" I heard of was the name of the young lady in Princess Bride. :-}
Thanks Bruce...only when it is eh!
=;-))

Thanks Melinda...as children we used to have someone hold a Buttercup below your chin to see if it reflected its colour on your skin...can't remember at the momment what that was supposed to mean. They are a beautiful wildflower, though not necessarily appreciated by farmers or gardeners.
