Another one from my west coast plein air
adventure, this one at Long Beach and the amazing
geological marvel Incinerator Rock.
It stands like a bulwark against the never ending
surf that rolls and crashes onto this spectacular
edge of Canada. They break against this rock behemoth
with incredible displays of natures force.
One feels much in awe and small in the
presence of such grandeur.
I'm not convinced that a mere 9 x 12 panel
has done it justice...

Hi there Jeffrey!... Sometimes "small"... can say it all... if you feel it!
And this one really does have the feel of that explosive energy... in contrast to the warm colour and calm in the foreground shoreline!
A beauty!
Good Painting!
Waermest regards,
Bruce
Hi Jeffrey your painting is full of warm colours and sunshine. Have you not got the colder weather with you yet? Are you prepared for the winter months?
Thanks Bruce, I think your right.

Thanks Caroline...the weather was beautiful while I was there, though very rainy both before and the day I left. We have been having quite mild weather so far with just two morning frosts. As for being prepared for winter...I guess you could say I'm some what like the proverbial grasshopper.
