There is a place not far from here where the jagged cliff face of this island thrust fourth to meet the force of the Salish Sea. Howling gales and crashing waves have, over the millennia, carved and broken off chunks of this volcanic remnant and left those pieces strewn on the bottom below where the waves boil and crash amongst them to reach the edge. It is at once a place that you feel in your belly as much as see with your eyes. The forces and beauty of the west coast are in grand display here. It is hard to leave for fear that the connections you feel while standing there might be broken. You can sense the spirits of those human beings who first left footprints
in this place in the long ago time.

Magnificent painting, Jeffrey!
Good Morning Jeffrey!... You have again captured yet another place ...."Where the Spirits Dance."
This quality of attachment which you feel... and then are able to translate into your painting style and canvases... is what attracts me to all of your work!
The turbulence... energy and awe of creation... on both sides of the easel are obvious. A gem!
Good Painting!
Warmest regards,
Bruce
