'Morning Ferry'

On a morning such as this it is hard to imagine
the forces that have shaped these island
warriors. The beauty and peacefulness of the
Salish Sea when the morning overcast
mutes the brilliant colour of the sunrise and
softens the sounds of stillness, it can be deceptive.
But for right now standing there on these
volcanic remnants we whisper so we will hear
the chatter of the Oyster Catchers when they rise
off the Gillinghams and the Kingfisher
when it declares its marine territory
before diving into the sea
for its prey...

Lovely, again, Jeffrey. I do believe I can hear a ferry boat horn...

You do such a good job expressing the environment where you are. Excellent work.

Hi there Jeffrey!... You have so beautifully captured that muted quiet which signals the end of summer's reign!

We both seem to thrive in this moment... and strange isn't it... that the mood and colours... east... west or north at this special time of the year share the the same timbre and warmth!

Another beauty... a gem Jeffrey!

Good Painting!
Warmest regards,
Bruce

Thanks Bruce. A seasonal time of change and beauty and yet of strong emotion, sometimes overwhelming.
