'At once the memories come flooding back
The moment I lay my eyes on fields of grass
A few too many years ago
I remember making hay from fields of grass'

Good morning Jeffrey... Yep... it's hayin' time in Ontario as well... too wet to rake... maybe it'll be a silage summer????? My thoughts... as well turn rapidly full circle to my past memories of the sweet smell of freshly cut hay in the night air... and later in the mow when we played as much as we worked forking it up and spreading it around on those hot... dog days of July!
Your words and painting pushed my "Refresh" button! Wasn't that draught of cold spring water... sipped.... "en plein air"... better than any beer one could guzzle? Remember that????
Who'd have "thunk it" Jeffrey?... all of these new fangled ideas and words???? HA HA!!!
Dream.... and Paint on!
Warmest regards,
Bruce
Thanks for that Bruce...keep on dreaming eh!!

This is another lovely, evocative painting, Jeffrey. Whenever I visit, I sense the land and the light where you are. I love the subtle pink in the sky, suggesting the perfect moment in a day ready for haying.
Best wishes always!
Thanks so much Melinda!
