'There is a time that comes but once a year
I've longed for it since last it was here
When May's heat made it disappear
It comes through air like sunshine in spring
But only just once a year
A sweet spring smell of Cottonwood perfume
That I wait for every year'

There appears to be a softness in the distant trees as if a change of weather is drifting in. Nice painting, gentle with the yellow cottonwood.
Your paintings are lovely! Greetings from Montreal.
Thanks Caroline...tis true that the weather was changing and would bring rain that evening.
