'The canyon slopes are full of spring
Among the fine bunchgrass tussocks
The Balsamroot are a dazzling display
Swallows float through warming skies
All a thrill for winter eyes'

Hi Jeffrey, when I first saw your painting in a small size over in Bruce's list of blogging favorites I thought wow Jeffrey has a painting like a Van Gogh! but visiting your blog I can see that it is very different to a Van Gogh, it is more refined and subtle. Yet this painting is really special, the way the flowers of all sizes dominate the painting even in the more distant areas of the painting as if perspective were of no importance. Yet there is also an element of realism as in I actually am viewing this painting as if standing in front of this view. I hope you frame this lovely painting as I believe it will find a home very soon. Well done a wee gem indeed.
Thanks Caroline. It is really hard to describe coming across this wonderful display of nature. Truly one I will remember for always.
Jeffrey
