Wonderful morning painting yesterday. The Fawn lillies were
out along the trails
along with a few Wild Onions and Camas.
A nuthatch was busy excavating a
nesting cavity
just a few feet away from my painting spot.
Otters and seals were
feeding just below me
along with geese, swans and diving ducks.
Just as I
was getting near the finish
the fog rolled in,
very thickly...

What I especially like about this painting are the deep green shadows/reflections in the water, and the way the highlights sparkle against the green.
Hi Gideon, Thanks for your comment. The water in this location under certain light conditions is a fantastic deep green in many variations.
