From an amalgamation of memory, imagination, 

photo references and desire.

Once in awhile they all come together long enough 

to utilize their influence in a creative way.

Often difficult to harness them all at one

time in a consistent way.

Moonrise Over Lyall Street

This was the view from my studio one evening last March.

The cloud formations had been amazing all afternoon and I

had gone out to take some photo's and when I returned

I got some of the best shots right from my window!!

I painted this piece a few weeks later

using several of the photos

for reference.

Oil on canvas 24 x 30.
