Muir Creek, **SOLD**Canadian west coast Impressionism, Sooke BC, plein air oil painting of Vancouver Island
There is a beautiful spot about a 45 minute driveNW of Victoria where the mouth of Muir Creek meets
the Juan de Fuca strait. When the tide is right there is
a wonderful stretch of West Coast beach that goes
on and on, at one point you will come to clay cliffs
that are full of marine fossils.
River otters were feeding in the creek while I was
painting this piece.
