'Summer Visitors'

From my studio window I can see these daisy's in my neighbours
front yard every summer. Though I have said time and
time again, "I have to get out and paint those daisy's!", it
just never happened, until this summer.

Moss Street Daisies

I started this piece while manning my site at the
Moss Street Paint-In a few weeks ago. There
where drifts of summer daisies in the front yard
flower beds of the house behind my site.
I've included a couple of photo's below.
Victoria's Moss Street and area has some fine
old homes from the hey days of early 20th
century architecture as you can see in the photo's.
Although I do enjoy painting flowers I seldom do.
So it was a bit of a challenge coupled with
doing it in front of the crowds of fun seekers!
=;-))

I would also like to draw your attention to Chicago
artist Karen Phipps who's blog link I have
just added to my "artist blog roll".
She is an amazingly dedicated and adventurous
plein air painter!
