Gray Day-Oak Bay

A group of outsiders faced a formidable challenge
Friday morning. Cool and foggy conditions with rain
just waiting for, (or daring) us to start painting.
The rain held off until I started laying in some colour.
I got it about 2/3rds done and finished up in the studio.
It is a rather "gray day" painting for me but I enjoyed
doing something different. Thankfully the leaves
are turning, providing some colour contrast.
Oil on board 14 x 11.
Comments always appreciated.

Peaceful scene, looks good...I have been beaching it lately, but no plein air just pulling things out of thin air...

Thanks Ron, it was quite peaceful as that coastal flat water fog can be. The fog horns we could hear in the distance added something to it as well.

BTW, the stuff you have been pulling from thin air is really fantastic. Ya gotter goin on boye!
