October Pumpkins

We had a beautiful October day for painting
en plein air on Friday and many of the pumpkin
fields where still unharvested. Here in Canada
we celebrate Thanksgiving this weekend and it
was grand to be able to spend part of it in
such abundance of sunlight and colour.

I love the saturated colors up front against those hills in the back. I'm also really fascinated by those evergreens back there. I absolutely love how simplified they are...they're daring in they're simplicity.

Thanks for that Karen. It is hard not to go for the chroma when you are surrounded by such an explosion of colour and light.
