December Afternoon-Plumper Bay

A warm sunny afternoon in December and the time to
get out and paint...how great is that. The temperature
hit 13C which is about 60F...niiiice!
The rapidly moving clouds presented quite a
challenge and by the time an hour had gone by large
looming dark clouds had moved in and
it was time to skedaddle!
This is another view of part of Esquimalt Harbour.
Oil on board 6 x 8.
Comments always appreciated.

Hi Jeffery,

I really love this one. The fluffy clouds are great and feel like they are rapidly moving across the blue sky. I also like how you have a bit of foreground in front of the water.

Thanks Liz, it was a beautiful couple of hours. The clouds were really moving through casting wandering shadows on the distant mountains.
