'June Hay Fields' **SOLD**

It's haying time once again here on the south island
and I made it out for a paint the other day.
I have painted these fields before and will again
as they have such wonderful character.
At this time of year the green thing comes up
again and I struggle to produce an assortment of green
shades that work and don't disappear into each other...
Oil on wood panel 9 x 12.

As always, your comments would be appreciated.

Jeffrey, your paintings are always a treat to the eye. I love the play of horizontal and vertical here, the colors, the playfulness of the shapes. Thank you!

Your hay fields invite me to run through them, sun in my face and wind in my hair....

I think you hit it with the greens - I see so many different shades in this piece.

Thanks for your feedback Marian...I appreciate it! I think it is those lines that are part of my attraction to painting fields as well as the memories that are stirred when actually there doing it.
