'Garry Oaks & Snow'

Another snow scene, this one a variation of a scene
I have painted before, can you recognize it?
This is the largest format that I have used so far
for this scene...
I love the rhythm that happens when I'm painting
snow and I often look to my snow paintings
when trying to get that flow of rhythm
in other types of landscapes I paint.

I love when it becomes snow-painting season again...I resist going out...but then I see images like this and remember why it's so magical.

You really do know snow painting! I would be so intimidated by snow.

Wishing you many good painting days en plein air while you stay warm out there!

I agree with Karen--magical!

Your tree paintings are so beautiful you really do capture their individual character so well too. You paint snow so perfectly.

This painting reminds me very much of a Van Gogh because of the movement of the shadows and light and of the landscape. Stunning!
