'Evening Hayfields'

Another evening in the hay fields, this one depicting
the first days work with more yet to go.
The light started fading fast cutting my time short with this
piece so more work was done back at the studio.
(Note to self: Start late, paint fast!)

Hey Jeffrey!... Dem hayfields keep callin' ... don't they?

You've really captured that fleeting golden light... and quickly lengthening shadows... the last gasps of day turning over the reins to night!

I think that often these time-generated "runs-for-the-sun" as I call them... are often more honest and fluid than most things we plan!

This one certainly speaks to "Me"... and vividly recaptures many such moments in my own plein air forays! Well done my Friend! A golden gem!

Good Painting! Happy Summer!
Warmest regards,
Bruce

I love the light and the colors you captured here. That golden hour is fleeting, but it's light magnificent kissing the landscape. My latest post was attempting to capture it too. But I chose to do the whole thing in the studio. Such bravery to do it in plein air!
