This painting was worked up from a small one that Ipainted several months ago. One of Victoria's
important light stations it sits about three miles to the
north of Victoria's inner harbour. Trial Island light has
been guarding the approach to both Oak Bay and
Victoria for many years and has been instrumental
to navigation and saving the lives of many mariners
in the often rough seas it surveys.
