Moss Street Paint-In a few weeks ago. There
where drifts of summer daisies in the front yard
flower beds of the house behind my site.
I've included a couple of photo's below.
Victoria's Moss Street and area has some fine
old homes from the hey days of early 20th
century architecture as you can see in the photo's.
Although I do enjoy painting flowers I seldom do.
So it was a bit of a challenge coupled with
doing it in front of the crowds of fun seekers!
=;-))
Oil on wood panel 10 x 10.
Comments always appreciated.

I would also like to draw your attention to Chicago
artist Karen Phipps who's blog link I have
just added to my "artist blog roll".
She is an amazingly dedicated and adventurous
plein air painter!

I love the daisies! I especially love the way you handled the background, so simply, with that neutral. I was just thinking about that background issue today!
That is a cool set-up too, there on the street. No matter how much I do it, I still feel shy about working in front of lots of people passing by!
And, of course, Thank You! for your mention...I'm honored, as yours is a blog I've long admired and so often visited for inspiration!
Thanks so much Karen...I had some fun with the daisies and didn't fret to much over it...as a close friend is fond of saying, "put your hands in the air like you don't care!" They estimate that over 35000 people visit the paint-in. My end had thousands for sure...
You deserve it Karen and thank you!

Wecome, Jeffrey to DPIAG, I too joined a few weeks back. I enjoyed looking through your blog. I love Vic and being near the water...not much of it in Calgary. I'm also a member of FCA( Calgary) and going to Gabriolla Island in Sept. Would you like to exchange links on our blogs?
Linda
Thanks Linda...enjoy yourself on Gabriola!!
