Woodwynn Grandmothers

A group of outsiders where invited to paint at the
historic Woodwynn Farm a couple of weeks ago.
I couldn't resist these two ancient Garry oaks and
the hay fields around them.
These two sisters would have been large mature
trees before contact in this region and have
witnessed much. You can feel their
life force vibrations when you are near to them.
Oil on wood panel 12 x 9.
Comments are always appreciated and encouraged.

Their lean has such character. And I love the way the treatment of the trees is echoed in the clouds. (not to mention the skyholes...one of my usual difficulties!)

Thanks Karen...I was greatly challenged here because I really tried to do almost portraits of these two grand oaks. Gotta love skyholes...
