'December Afternoon',(Canadian west coast Impressionism, Swan Lake, cottonwoods)

This painting is a larger version of one I did a couple

of weeks ago. I used the same reference photo's

I took several years ago at the
Swan Lake Nature Preserve just outside Victoria.
A natural peat bog, it is a very important avian

sanctuary and a lovely place to walk the trail that

circles the lake and marsh areas.
