'September on the Cheakamus'

Finally had a chance for a quick visit up
to Whistler last week to see my oldest son.
Fortunately the weather was nice on the
way up so we stopped for lunch and a paint
out. The Cheakamus River is a beautiful piece
of water as it tumbles down from the high country.
This spot was easily accessible for us and I
took quite a few reference photo's as well for
some future large canvases.
Oil on wood panel 12 x 9.
As always your thoughts & comments are valued.

Hi Jeffrey!... Love all of your recent postings!

Later use of those plein air sketches do result in significantly grander large works ... as your paintings demonstrate!

Good Painting!
Warmest regards,
Bruce

I think the river might flow right over the edge of your canvas and onto the floor! This is so good. You really know water, and sky, and mountains and trees...and...

Excellent work. It looks as though you've become quite comfortable with all that you are painting recently.
