'Maple & Snow'

Last Monday I had the honour of painting
this piece as a demo for the Windsor Park Art Club.
It was the start of a Victoria snow event
so the subject fit in nicely.
They are a very enthusiastic and welcoming
group of artists and I enjoyed it very much.

Hi there Jeffrey!... Little wonder that your workshop observers enjoyed the making of this one!

I love the strong interplay between the distant purple tree and the orange colour of the maple... and the marvellously radiating arms of your shadows which carry the eye up to the base of the maple...then upward!

Simply... a gem!

Good Painting!
Warmest regards,
Bruce

That must have been so fun! Wish I could have been there.

Excellent work on this too. I especially like the shadow colour juxtaposed with the maple tree. Wow. And, yum!
