Sunrise on Lyall St. **SOLD**

We have had some really great sunrises lately and
I decided I needed to try a painting of the way my
street looks in September just as the sun starts to
come up. I took a few photos on my morning walk
the other day and used them for reference.
Oil on board 6 x 6.
Comments always welcomed.

Yes I agree with Rhonda. The light is phenomenal in these morning scenes! I can truly feel the sun coming up in this one.

I'd like to try some soon, too. Sometimes when I wake up and look out the window I am so surprised at the colors and think, I have to get my paints and get out there fast!

Did you set up before the sun came up? About how long did you work on these (what was your window of time for the color)?

What beautiful light and color, Jeffrey! Worth getting up for! Also, it has a wonderful feeling of a quiet morning. So nice!

Thanks Vicki, it already seems so long ago! It sure goes fast.
