Highrock #12

A break in the weather yesterday afternoon saw me
back at Highrock Park. I've become fascinated
with the undulating surface of the moss covered rock
interspersed with the native firs and Garry oaks.
Our relatively mild wet winter weather makes
for perfect moss growing conditions and right
now the moss at Highrock is flourishing.
Oil on board 11 x 14.
Your comments are always appreciated.

You are my inspiration to try to remember to keep my strokes separate and leave them alone.
The ground completely undulates! very cool. It is always surprising to see what (relatively) vibrant colors you have out there.

Thanks Karen...I always like to grab as much chroma from a scene as possible.

Jeffrey,
I just saw your blog for the first time. I like your paintings and your painting style a lot. I feel I don't have any real style yet, I'm envious of those who do.
I enjoyed looking through your work!
