Morning Light-Saanich

This piece was painted last week on one of
those special spring mornings when that smell
of spring cottonwoods sweetens every breath you take.
The sounds and flight of birds fill the air and compete
with the quiet stillness of the rural countryside.
It was a grand day painting with three
buddies, plein air painters all!
Oil on canvas 20 x 16.

The light in this one is so crisp and clear, and I especially love the addition of that house.

Thanks Karen...funny I usually avoid putting in buildings and such
but it seemed to be right in this one. May have to revisit my reluctance in the future...
