Waters Edge Willow

Spent a wonderful few days on Saltspring Island
a couple of weeks ago. This native willow stands
at the waters edge beside a little beach on
the lake we stay at. The lake swimming weather was
the best we have ever had here at the end of May.
The nightly serenade of tree frogs and star filled
night skies and excellent fishing made for a
very relaxing time. This piece was painted
plein air one hot afternoon.
Oil on wood panel.
12 x 9.

It's got sparkling light, as so many of your pieces do!

I can almost hear the water running by the trees. This is another strong work with a beautiful sense of place!

You make plein air painting look easy, but I know it's not.
