This is one of the paintings I did on my recent trip.It's across the bay from the Fulford Harbour ferry dock.
I only had about hour total including set-up and take down
and I must say I think it helped with the end result!
Oil on board 6 x 8.

WOW on the dappled light. I always love how you do that, and here, it just sparkles. I'm also so inspired by your time limits here, as sometimes I have the thought about Why bother? when it's such a short time span, but, your remind me that it's worth it.
Hey thanks so much Karen...I think having a very limited amount of time really makes you simplify, big time, and just deal with the stuff that immediately attracted your eye. To quote west coast artist Linny D. Vine, "put your hands in the air like you don't care"...and dive right in!!
