'September Rapture'

This is the second time around for this piece and I
think I finally have it where I want it.
It's strange how you can go along painting from one
piece to the next without much more than the usual
troubles and then you get into a piece that you just
really have to battle with.
This piece was shunted off to a corner of the studio
for several months till I was ready to go at it again.
I think the time out with this one was time well spent.
=;-))
Oil on canvas
24 x 24.
Your thoughts and comments are always appreciated!

Oh, well done, Jeffrey! I know just what you mean and I'm so glad that you didn't give up on this. Sometimes it is a good thing to let them rest quietly in a corner for awhile.

Beautiful, atmospheric painting.

A beautiful and colourful... light-filled canvas Jeffrey!

There is a time for everything... or everything has its time and place!

"You" nailed it!

Never give up the ship! HAHA!! So true!

Good Painting!
Warmest regards,
Bruce

I'm glad you came back to this one as I really like it. The warm light is beautiful and the shadows and dappled light add a lot of interest. I'm looking forward to following your progress on this blog!

This is a very nice painting and the way you handled it with your brushstrokes really makes me think of "dappled light" !
