'Fisgard Calm'

Snow is falling here on the south Island as I write this
and though it is a magical winter wonderland it
does create havoc for we Islanders.
(even those displaced from the great white north
very much east of here)
It is supposed to change to rain later this afternoon
and will all be washed away =:-(
Painted from a photo taken while painting en plein air
last summer, this will be the final one to be ready for my
show next week 'South Island Impressions'.
I hope to use this painting as a practice
run for a much larger painting.
Oil on wood panel 6 x 8.
Your thoughts & comments are always welcomed!

Perfect composition! Perfect light in that distant sky!

Wishing you more of the "magical winter wonderland."

Holding good thoughts for your upcoming show. Breathe.

Hi there Jeffrey!.... A nice little gem to round off the lot for your upcoming show! A nice tranquil feel!

I wish "You" good luck and hefty sales! If things work the way they have played out in this area... little gems will be ticket! They all count though... and pay the bills as they say!

Sorry to hear that your snow is disappearing....HAHA! Not a fav for Islanders.... I know that!

We are expecting Father Winter to drop in 15-20 cm of the fresh stuff... and it won't be leavin' any time soon! Cold! Cold! Cold!

Good Painting... and sales!
Warmest regards,
Bruce
