up the NE side of Esquimalt Harbour called
Limekiln Cove. Well known to the early sailors of both
the Spanish and British navy's, hence it's
historical significance.
Wonderful light for painting there this morning.
I think I will try doing a larger painting
of this sometime soon.
Oil on canvas 8 x 6.

Hi Jeffrey,
Your landscapes are truly stunning. I love your color palette and brush stroke work. I have a weakness for artists who start with an undercoat of orangy red, which may be the case with some of your paintings. Stunning!
Thanks for your wonderful comment Alvin...I do use a coloured ground and really like it.

Hi Jeffrey, we do live on/in a painter's paradise. I am starting to gather reference material (since I am a thin air painter- I pull'em outa thin air). I study your scenes and have lately been paying particular attention to our local landscapes. Who knows? We shall see...Enjoy seeing your beautiful paintings!
Thanks for dropping by Ron. You are right, our area begs to be painted.
