once again it was foggy along with very cool
temperatures. Our group of "outsiders" met at the
Viaduct Flats wetland a lovely spot just
outside of Victoria. This wetland area is a
wintering area for a large group of
Trumpeter swans that kept up a fantastic serenade
with their soft bugling/honking vocalizations.
Bird watching while painting outside, how great is that!
Oil on board 6 x 6.
Comments always enjoyed!

Good one Jeff. Really capture the location and the day.
Thanks Ken...I like the way this one turned out considering the conditions and all...

I love these reeds! They stop me all the time when I see this type around me.
I love too that color you used to get that far away spot to stay back so far.
Thanks so much Karen.

I really like the flow in this one. I'm always impressed by how much you can capture with your broad brush strokes. On another note, your self portrait has inspired me to give it a try.
Thanks Anne, I appreciate it!
I was suprised how much fun the self portrait was to do.

How lovely to see a golden glow on a winter scene :-)
Thanks SongNote...I really enjoyed uping the volume on the colour in this piece as it was such a dreary day...
