Early Morning-Saxe Point

Hi everyone,
I was back painting at Saxe Point park early Friday morning.
I choose this perspective to try and capture the wonderful
sky above the distant shore and the Olympic mountains.
At this time of year there is a special quality of light that
is very unique to late summer/early fall here on the
south island and one I am trying to paint.
Oil on wood panel 9 x 12.
Comments always very much appreciated!
Jeffrey

Nice one! The warm foreground and blue mountains give me the feeling of cool crisp air but warm sunshine on my face.

Thanks Deborah...the conditions were very much like that and ended up a beautiful warm day! September on the south island is often a very magical time of year with lake swimming days and wonderful light!
