'Evening Ferry' plein air oil Fulford Harbour

I painted this piece from the lookout high on top of
Saltspring Island's Mount Maxwell. We got set up late in the
afternoon and I have to say it was some kind of wonderful!!
This view is looking to the south east and Washington State.
For the most part while we were there it was just us
sharing the view and the scent of soul syrup with the
ravens and the turkey vultures that soared on the updrafts
of the steep cliff face below us, sometimes so close we
could hear the air rushing through their wings!
Can't wait to paint there again!

Jeffrey, with all the beautiful places you visit to paint, it's a wonder you get any painting done in between soaking up the scenery!

Your right Deborah, it can be overwhelming when you find yourself standing in a spot with so many potential paintings right in front of you. I'm working on it =;-))
