'Winter Mallards',

(Canadian west coast Impressionism, mallards, winter marsh)

Waterfowl are adaptable and hardy and seem to quite enjoy
those areas of ice cold weather can create. Nothing can
out do the colour of sunlit Mallard drakes on a crisp
winter afternoon. Truly one of natures
most colourful visual delights.
Oil on wood panel 6 x 8.

I agree with you about the mallards - their color in the sun is indescribable. Here they bring warmth to this wintry scene.

I love these types of reedy-plants among the snow...such a gorgeous scene. The little ducks add just the right amount of sparkle.

Thanks Karen...I really love the colour sun can bring to such a scene.
