'Morning Surf'

Unlike my previous post this painting features a more
subtle, later morning sky but of course it's all
about the curling surf here.
Walking out on the sand as far as you dare
without getting your feet wet is
an exhilarating adventure.
However as I stood there marvelling at the
sound of those waves and feeling the pulse of the
sea, I felt somewhat lame as hardy, wet suit clad
surfers ran past me and hurled themselves and their
boards into the crashing surf.
Trying to catch, what I was assured were
very "SWEET" waves...

Good morning Jeffrey!.... What a wonderfully warm and thoughtful commentary... as descriptively moving as this powerful rendering of this West Coast seascape!

There are many reasons for being "out there"... each is very personal... and as "You" and "I" already know our own reasons!
... " beside still waters!"

Good Painting!
Warmest regards,
Bruce

I love this post and painting. You always get it right and the image of the land and water glow in this.

No, I don't think at our ages that we should do any hurling or any jumping with abandon toward "sweet" waves--only in our minds, yes?! :-)

Thank you for sharing your work with us!
