Top of the Rock

Just finished this one from a photo taken while out
plein air painting on Friday.
I loved the drama of the two isolated trees
backdropped by the hudge clouds
rising up behind them.
Oil on canvas 8 x 6.

Looking good.
There's nothing as satisfying as braving the elements and getting up close with the subject.

I forgot to mention, the painting is awesome. Concise.

It's an awesome experience painting in your company - you're one of the handful of 'outsiders' who are in situ in any weather. And you always find the LIGHT.

That is a tall compliment coming from someone of your level of plein air mastery.
I have at times been completely humbled by the plein air experince.
