Burnside Hay Fields **SOLD**

I was back at the hay fields again yesterday.
It was our first real summer like day this year and
a perfect time to be there. This piece was painted
from the side, of what turned out to be a fairly busy
thoroughfare, which I found to be very distracting.
I must try to locate myself better before
setting up next time!
The turkey vultures were out in full force. It is truly a
joy to watch them as they glide by
scanning the fields for morsels of food,
left there from the haying activities.
Oil on canvas 6 x 8.
Comments always appreciated.

I love the fact that despite how bright and cheery this piece is, it still has a slightly ominous feel when you consider the stumps in the foreground.

You gotta admit though its quite fun when someone misdiagnoses something, "Love the chicken!" Thats no chicken thats a dog...But I digress, paintings are wonderful as usual, quite inspiring. If I wasn't so lazy, maybe I would go outside.
