This one was painted this winter from a photo
I took while out salmon fishing.
The sun was breaking through cloud cover behind me
and lighting up the buildings and the rocky shore.
The fog horn from Trial Island
can be heard in many places
around town when the fog rolls in.
Oil on canvas 8 x 10.

Jeffrey, hello.
Thanks for visiting my Blog and for your nice comment, I just visited your Website and your Blog pages too, I liked a lot of your works, I see that you love the nature like me too, I have seen that also you cares very well the great legacy of the great masters of the Canadian Realistic and Impressionistic painting , I think that I even identify the group of the "Twelve" from Canada, were an excellent group of realistic Canadian artists in the seventies.
Keep you wonderful art!

Jeffrey, thanks for visiting my blog.
I don't know if I've mentioned this before but my husband and I vacation in Parrsboro, NS where his mother came from.
We rent a cottage on the Bay of Fundy with a front row seat to the highest and lowest tides.
I've never gotten over my enchantment with the place. Rolling farmland and the huge red bluffs along the shore.
I love your bold style.
It sounds entirely awesome, Mary. It is one area of the country I really want to visit one day.
